Colorado Private-Property Big Game Hunting (Area 131)

The Hageman Ranch offers 400 acres of private mule deer and elk hunting in the Colorado Rockies. The ranch provides do-it-yourself non-guided hunts supported by a 5 day trespass lease.  We limit the number of hunters on the ranch to 4  --   helping to insure that there will be plenty of game and that your chances of a successful hunt are good.

Owned and managed by George W. Hageman,  the Hageman Ranch provides a unique way for you to enjoy some of the finest mule deer and elk big game hunting available. By controlling the amount of hunting pressure, we are able to offer the average hunter superb big game hunting.

Hunting Location:

Area 131:  Northwestern Colorado, Routt County, near Oak Creek.  The ranch provides open field, sage, old scrub oak, and aspen forest hunting experiences on a wide range of terrain.  The widely varying terrain and forest types provides both the elk and deer hunter specific "best locations" for their particular license needs.   The ranch is located on a high ridge that provides breath-taking views of Northern Colorado.  You can see into Wyoming from here which is 60 miles away!  Surrounded by beautiful scenery, you might want to spend some of your time taking pictures. By the way, we recommend 4-wheel drive vehicles; and ATVs may be used to pick up your harvested game. All vehicle travel is restricted to the adequate, marked, existing roads.  Use  the  "Ranch" and "Maps" buttons to the left to find out exactly what the ranch looks like from the air, and where the ranch is located.   If you use a GPS, finding your location will not be difficult.

Getting Started: 

To make a reservation, merely consult the calendar by clicking the "CALENDAR" button on the left.  Verify that there are sufficient available hunting days that match your plans.  Once your hunting schedule is determined, make the reservation by hitting the "RESERVE" button.  Merely print this form, fill it in and either fax it or mail it to the number and address provided on the form.   For faster service, use the fax and credit card options.   Please either send any questions you have to me via email or give me a call at 321-723-4320 for a quick response.
